Emily Hilsabeck, CPA
Tax Principal | CliftonLarsonAllen LLP
Since 2006, MOCPA and AICPA have partnered to honor outstanding women in the profession through the Women to Watch awards. This program highlights the accomplishments of women in the profession, and demonstrates to emerging female leaders that success is not out of reach.
Emily Hilsabeck has been described as a true ambassador of what a CPA should be beyond crunching the numbers. She constantly seeks opportunities to build her team up by being positive, available and engaged in their careers.
As the tax lead in CLA’s Heartland region, Emily is responsible for driving all tax initiatives to benefit clients, the firm, and community. Her efforts have ensured a better product is being delivered in a shorter time while providing the highest level of value.
She is the tax principal on two of the firm’s largest, most complex construction clients, and she has created an office-wide environment where the tax and audit departments work together to meet with, understand, and deliver reports to clients.
Emily’s contagious work ethic and positive attitude have enhanced the office culture, resulting in streamlined processes and more efficient engagements, and she has contributed to her office having one of the lowest turnover rates out of the 120 CLA offices firm-wide. One of Emily’s biggest impacts is being a role model to working parents. She has demonstrated you can be promoted to the highest level of the firm while working reduced hours to raise children.
In the community, Emily is a member of the Heartland Foundation Board, the Leadership St. Joseph Steering Committee, and local and national construction associations.
