To promote and enhance learning, generate thought leadership, and provide engagement activities for CPAs in the wealth management sector, and also to guide and support CPAs who are interested in wealth management careers.
- Establishing and holding regular committee meetings.
- Planning and promoting learning opportunities in conjunction with MOCPA staff. Examples may include: building CPE courses; building an annual PFP conference; building community roundtable discussion groups; and advising on financial planning-specific curricula on behalf of the society.
- Creating thought leadership pieces to advance financial planning theory or practice. Examples include: writing articles for The ASSET; serving as the voice within MOCPA for key financial planning technical issues via comment letters for exposure drafts; presenting as subject matter experts at learning opportunities; and writing for additional publishing channels (i.e. blogs, newsletters, books).
