MOCPA Has Raised $250,000 Toward $1 Million Goal to Establish Self-Sustaining Fund

Legacy Endowment21_graphic-09

In 2021, MOCPA's Educational Foundation launched a five-year campaign to raise
$1 million in order to establish a self-sustaining endowed scholarship fund. That same year, a generous, anonymous MOCPA member made a $100,000 matching gift to MOCPA’s scholarship program, because other members collectively contributed $100,000 by the end of 2021. Thank you to everyone who helped us achieve that matching gift, but our work is not done yet! Please consider giving to help those following in your footsteps.

Thank you for considering a four-year commitment of making a tax-deductible gift, of which 100 percent goes directly to scholarships. Your gift will help ease the burden of rising tuition for accounting majors attending Missouri universities and secure the profession's future for years to come.

Company Matching
Many firms and companies establish a foundation to assist the firm and its employees in their charitable efforts. To support the causes of its employees, SFW Partners LLC is matching the donations made by their team to MOCPA’s Legacy Endowment Scholarship Fund. They challenge other firms and companies to follow suit to help deserving accounting students achieve their career goals.

“We believe it’s important to support the accounting profession by continuing to engage accounting students and facilitate their entry into the profession. We encourage all MOCPA members’ organizations to do the same. Join us in this matching endeavor!”—Alicia Bingel, partner at SFW Partners, LLC and board president of SFW Gives Back

“Your support and this scholarship go a long way in covering college expenses— especially in the unprecedented times we have been experiencing. This year, I will be focusing on obtaining my Master of Accountancy degree, serving as a graduate teaching research assistant, and sitting for the CPA exam. I am thankful for these growth-driving experiences and the generous MOCPA donors who financially support me and provide me with these opportunities. This scholarship will help ease the burden of college expenses and is priceless in allowing me to focus on my studies as opposed to costs.”—Caleb Bruemmer, MOCPA scholarship recipient
