Please join us for another edition of Professional Development for Busy Women: The CliffsNotes 13.0. You’ll hear from four speakers, each of whom will deliver a high-level summary of the key points from a professional development book that they personally found to be helpful, inspiring and educational. Now is a good time to invest in improving your skills in leadership, communication, innovation, time management, productivity, and mindset!

Amanda Simmonds, Senior Manager, Armanino LLP

I have built my career as an operations leader within public accounting firms of various sizes.

My unique skill set and experience have made me successful in:
“ driving change
“ leading teams
“ developing people

I am passionate about solving the leadership gap and talent crisis through coaching leaders to lead well and developing leaders worth following! I am in the process of obtaining the Associated Certified Coach (ACC) designation from the International Coaching Federation, for my next chapter, as a leadership coach.

I am blessed to live in the rural Missouri town of Lebanon with my high school sweetheart, two teenagers, two dogs, one rabbit and one cat. I graduated from Lebanon High School, and came back to Lebanon in 2021 to be close to family.

Catherine Turner, IT Governance and Admin, Hussmann Corporation

I am a courageous and curious governance, risk, and compliance leader with over 15 years of experience ranging among publicly traded, privately held, and highly regulated industries. My passion for ERM was solidified when I led an Internal Audit department during a FDA consent decree and DOJ investigation at a pharmaceutical company that ultimately recalled all of its products and had significant changes to executive leadership. In this role, I supported the independent Board of Directors through multiple special investigations. Through this challenging experience, I witnessed the significance of the U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines and the necessity of maintaining robust corporate governance and compliance.
